Owning Milo, a toy terminator since he was a puppy, has constantly challenged me to not only break his bad habit, but find toys that will withstand his torment
When I first saw Planet Dog's Orbee Ball I was intrigued, not only with its cool planet like molding but their claim of being virtually indestructible. A rating of 5 on their 1 to 5 chewometer rating. The Orbee ball had also received awards in the USA and was given the title of "best dog ball in the world" by industry experts. An important factor they say, is choosing the right size toy for your dogs mouth, making sure it is big enough that they can not get it into their destructive back teeth.
Milo has a large Glow in the Dark Orbee which he received for Christmas 2005. To my amazement, 6 months on its still in tacked. I'm not sure whether its the divine peppermint smell (which doesn't fade) or its soft pliable texture, but Milo loves his Orbee, in fact the words obsessive compulsive disorder spring to mind. Whether it be chasing it around the lawn or lying down and munching on it, its true love, in fact I believe his love for his Orbee has given him a new found respect for his toys.
The Orbee ball is great for play in and around water as its lightweight and buoyant. The Orbee comes in three sizes and a variety of colours, its made from non-toxic materials and is recyclable.
The environmentally considerate Planet Dog also donate a percentage of Orbee sales to their non-profit Planet Dog Foundation, who's funds help to promote and support therapy dogs, service dogs, search & rescue dogs, bomb sniffing dogs and police dogs.
