When choosing clothes for your dog or cat it is important to check the measurements given for individual garment as each brand has its own sizing (unfortunately there is not an international size standard when it comes to dog clothes).
There are three measurements that you should consider when purchasing clothes for your pet, neck circumference, girth (the widest part of the chest, usually behind the front legs), and back length (base of neck/collar to top of tail). Always size by girth first to ensure a comfortable fit that doesn't rub under your pets legs.
